2025 Virtual TCS New York City Marathon (Guaranteed Entry) - October 25, 2025

Team for Kids runners receive guaranteed entry to the 2025 Virtual TCS New York City Marathon Powered by Strava while raising critical funds to support NYRR youth and community programs, including Rising New York Road Runners. Rising New York Road Runners — NYRR’s free youth program and events platform — helps to build students’ motivation, confidence, and desire to be physically active for life. You can help further that mission and inspire the next generation of runners and athletes by running with Team for Kids in the 2025 Virtual TCS New York City Marathon!

Eligibility Criteria:

• TFK Virtual participants cannot be signed up for the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon in-person event.
• TFK Virtual participants cannot already have a guaranteed entry to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon, such as through the 2025 9+1 Program, previous cancellation, etc.

Perks of running with Team for Kids include:

• Complimentary access to a virtual training app to help prepare for their race
• 60-day Strava subscription (Please note: Runners who previously had or currently have a Strava subscription cannot redeem a 30- or 60-day trial. Runners cannot redeem a Strava subscription trial more than once on their account.)
• Virtual TCS New York City Marathon finisher medal and keychain
• Fundraising resources and support, including a personal fundraising page, to help you meet your fundraising goal
• Signature Team for Kids green racing singlet

Guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. To be eligible for entry to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon, runners must:

• Fulfill their fundraising commitment by Wednesday, October 15, 2025
• Complete the NYRR race registration for the virtual 2025 race (including registration fee)
• Complete the virtual marathon between Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. and Sunday, November 2, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Runners must complete the full 26.2-mile distance in a single run activity in one 24-hour period. Please note that indoor and treadmill runs are not eligible for NYRR virtual races.
• Upload results to Strava by 11:59 p.m. Sunday November 2, 2025
• Must meet the eligibility criteria outlined above
  

Fundraising Commitment

Team for Kids runners commit to fundraising a minimum of $1,500 due in full by Wednesday, October 15, 2025. In addition to the fundraising pledge, TFK runners are responsible for the 2025 Virtual TCS New York City Marathon registration fee of $175 for NYRR Members and $200 for NYRR Friends (non-members).

There is a $25 TFK fee due upon applying. The sign-up process requires a payment method to be saved to your profile. If a fundraising balance remains after the fundraising deadline, it will be charged to this credit card on Thursday October 16, 2025.

Runners who fundraise beyond the $1,500 minimum at a level of $3,000 or more by Wednesday October 15, 2025 will be eligible for all TFK training and VIP race day perks for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon.
